Exilio (1987)
Play script (Spanish)
Notes:
This is a play about the issue of exile. The plot refers to five friends living in New York in 1958, who have great expectations about the triumph of the Cuban Revolution. They return to Cuba, which allows them to get into a process of redefining themselves as individuals as well as their friendship.
Critic José A. Escarpenter has said about the play: "It holds a unique position within the Spanish-American Theater, for it presents a precise description of the Cuban drama, without sentimentality."
