This staged reading was part of a seminar on contemporary American drama The seminar became part of an extensive program of "New American Theatre in Russia," organized by the Center for International Theatre Development (CITD), with the support of the American Embassy in Russia and the US-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission. The participants of the seminar (directors and actors of several cities in the Urals) were offered the latest Russian translation of new plays coming from successful American staged productions with the hope that in the foreseeable future, they will appear on the stage of the Urals.
