A Little Something to Ease the Pain

Premiere: World

Notes: +

This play marks the beginning of the reencuentro or reunion topic in Cuban theater, both on the island and across the Florida straights, following the initiation of dialogue between Cuban authorities and segments of the exile community at the end of the 1970s. A semi-autobiographical play, playwright Paye returns to Cuba after a self-imposed exile of seventeen years, to confront his past and determine his future.
