Cuban Theater Digital Archive

This collection includes materials belonging to Cuban designer, Maikel Sánchez. You can find many programs from the Teatro Musical de La Habana. The physical materials were received and digitized in two batches. The 1960 materials were loaned to CTDA by Antón Arrufat. They were digitized by Daniel Correa-Manzor at the University of Miami Libraries. Metadata was created by Gabriel Lama and Melissa Hurtado. The physical materials were returned to the artist via Antón Arrufat. The digital assets were stored in an external hard drive to be saved at the University of Miami Libraries' Cuban Theater Digital Archive server; lower resolution derivatives were uploaded to this digital archive. A copy of the digital assets was stored in a USB drive and given to the artist via Antón Arrufat. The digital collection was revised and published by Lillian Manzor (2017). 

Materials from the 1970s and 1980s were digitized in 2018 by Ruming Yang. Metadata was created by Ruming Yang. Antón Arrufat donated Sánchez's materials from these two decades to CTDA. They are now in the Lillian Manzor Theater Collection at the Cuban Heritage Collection, University of Miami Libraries.
