In March 1967, students the University of Havana School of Arts and Letters, went to a social service trip to Santiago de Cuba. Anna Veltfort organized a group of puppets called Los tiriteros de la Sierra. The heads of the puppets were made by Manolo González, in the workshop of the Camejo brothers, directors of the Guiñol National Theater. The color photograph is the puppet Chongolo, Master of Ceremonies, today, with the ears to the right of his head. For more information, see Archivo de Connie.
