Stage, nightclub, television and film actress/vedette, she started as a vedette in Havana's Tropicana. She then danced in Las Vegas for "Le Parisien" at the Paris Casino. She moved in to Mexico in the 1950s where she has worked in over 80 films, as well as many theater plays. She became famous in Mexico in 1958 with "Locura musical." She was nicknamed "la rubia de categoría" ("the classy blonde") after she became a spokesmodel for the beer company Moctezuma.
