ADAL (Agrupación de Arte Latinoamericano) was founded by Max Ferrá in 1966 along with the Cuban and Puerto Rican artists Elsa Ortiz, Frank Robles, Gladys Ortiz, Oscar García, Antonio Gonzales-Jaén, and Benjamín López. In 1971, it became INTAR (International Arts Relations, Inc.), when they were forced to leave the theater, and DUO and ADAL joined forces.
