El Círculo Teatral de Chicago

This was one of the first Latino theater companies in Chicago. It was founded by Efrén del Castillo and Pedro Monge Rafuls in May 1970. del Castillo directed most of the productions and also designed the sets. Many of the actors were Mexicans or Mexican Americans, along with Puerto Ricans and Cubans, and they often performed at the Museum of Science and Industry.
